Carry/SuperbEats

Spotlight by Iris Kang

Through partnership with Carry and SuperbEats, we are bringing delivery services to a place that is more accessible for all communities. We also hope to increase the use of food that is thrown out or unused at local grocery stores through further partnership.

Increase in Accessibility

By partnering with Carry and SuperbEats, two of the largest delivery service platforms used nation-wide, we hope to increase accessibility to healthy, package-free food options by bringing fresh groceries straight to people's doors. Users will be able to receive fresh groceries even with lack of transportation or time to physically go grocery shopping.

Affordability

With Carry and SuperbEats, our partnership will allow a monthly subscription fee specifically for healthy grocery delivery. With this subscription fee, the users will be able to access the delivery service at a considerably lower cost than paying for the deliveries one at a time. This monthly subscription will also ensure that the users of the service have healthy food for at least a month at a time. There will also be more affordable options for subscriptions with delivery of any leftover groceries that are still good for consumption but not good for marketing or sale.

Increase in Job Opportunities

Within Carry and SuperbEats, we are also increasing  job opportunities for those in need. For example, we have local shoppers who can shop for a pay, even if they do not have a vehicle to deliver the groceries. With the addition of shoppers along with the existing role of drivers, we hope to increase the job opportunities in communities and make fresh grocery shopping more accessible and less burdensome financially.

EDC-free

Through further partnerships with companies with sustainable containers, we will ensure our delivery services are using EDC-free and reusable packaging. Used, empty food packaging can be washed and left out on the porch to be picked up by the delivery driver on the next delivery date so that sustainable and safe packaging can be reused.

Imperfect Groceries

We also hope to partner with Imperfect Groceries to have them play a part in providing the more affordable options of delivery. This will allow the partnership to have more access to foods that are being turned away by local grocery stores and deliver them to communities in need. Through this partnership along with Carry and SuperbEats, we hope to increase accessibility in food products that are not being used to decrease unnecessary waste as well.

Local Markets

Through this partnership, we will also reach out to local markets and help them in reaching out to their local communities. Often, local farmers markets or smaller grocery stores often are not used simply because community members are unaware of their existence. Thus, through the widely known delivery service platforms, we will provide a space for advertisement and partner up for those that desire delivery services.
