WHO WE ARE

IMG_9229.jpg

Our Mission

We are a team of undergraduate researchers at UCLA studying issues at the intersection of biology and society with a special interest in food justice and health equity. We hope to identify the risks of EDC exposure through food packaging and offer possible solutions in reducing exposure. This firm’s goal is to provide evidence-based insights to community leaders, business executives, and policymakers to enable and assist the fight to dismantle food apartheid. Our research findings are presented in a variety of media formats including articles, interviews, podcasts, and videos that can be used to inform change makers on critical issues and serve as educational materials for a broader public audience.

EXPERTISE

Our expert team constantly works through research-based findings on issues related to EDC exposure in food packaging, the pervasiveness of food apartheids in America, and potential directions for enabling change. Transformative Food Solutions and our associates are happy to guide you through the missions of your group and provide insight towards how to best achieve your goals.

INNOVATION

Our team creates educational podcasts, videos, and articles that can be employed to inform audiences on issues relevant to policy making and intervention design. Our creative and scientific production units work hand in hand to create materials to inform your audiences about the issues of the past, the power in the present, and the potential in the future of our food economy.

CONNECTIONS

Our outreach and community advocacy units are committed to connecting your group to organizations and populations of your interest. Transformative Food Solutions catalyzes the formation of necessary connections between legal, academic, scientific, and community institutions in order to determine feasible pathways for your group to blossom, whether that is as activists, engineers, creative thinkers, or policymakers.

ADAPTABILITY

In this ever-changing world, it is not just important to have a plan of action, but just as important to adapt to new environments and reinvent solutions based on unforeseen roadblocks. Our team creates tailored interventional plans and evidence-based insights on tangential issues and public health problems upon request.
